What is an eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card built into your phone. Instead of inserting a plastic SIM, you install a mobile plan by scanning a QR code. It takes less than 2 minutes.

Why travelers use eSIMs

  • No roaming bills: prepaid data at local rates, with no surprise charges.
  • Instant delivery: buy online and get your eSIM by email in minutes.
  • Keep your number: your main SIM stays in your phone, so you can still receive calls and SMS (for example, bank codes) on your usual number.
  • No store visits: no queues at the airport and no tiny SIM tray to lose.
  • Hotspot friendly: share your data with your laptop or travel companions.

How it works

  1. Choose your destination and the data plan that fits your trip.
  2. Install the eSIM from the Install eSIM link we email you, which opens your QR code. Do this before you leave, while you're on Wi-Fi.
  3. Land and connect: turn on the eSIM line and data roaming, and you're online.

Is my phone compatible?

Most iPhones since the iPhone XR, and recent Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones, support eSIM. Your phone must also be carrier-unlocked. Check the full list of compatible devices.
